Bryce,
I can't say enough about how much I've learned from your TTW book and how it keeps me sharp the more regularly I review it. Every trading day I see the critical points where I can initiate trades with a minimum amount of risk and put myself in a position to profit. Not every trade works out but the one's that do out number the one's that don't, and with your approach I can keep my individual losses very small so I don't lose much of the profit from my winners.
The TTW room helps me with reading the mood of the day and the group either confirms or challenges my overall view/plan as the day is progressing. I enjoy the many examples that you and other members post to the room showing the things that are coming up and things to keep an eye on. I have also learned some finer things about how to better manage my winning trades which has made a big difference in my profitability. I must say that the room has taken me to another level in my trading above what I think I could have achieved on my own just from studying the TTW manual and applying it to my best ability.
You are a great coach and mentor and your teaching by example has really solidified in my mind how to apply your methods effectively.
Thanks for everything,

This is a message that is worth it's weight in gold.
Tom is a TTW member of long standing and knows what he is talking about.
|
Take it for what it's worth:
Want to trade successfully? Just choose the good setups and avoid the bad ones. Poor trade selection takes a heavy toll as it bleeds your confidence and your wallet/account. You face many crossroads during each market day. Without a system of discipline/rules for your decision-making, impulse and emotion will undermine skills as you chase the wrong trades at the worst times.
Many short-term players view trading as a form of gambling. Without planning or discipline, they throw money at the market. The occasional big score reinforces this easy money attitude but sets up for ultimate failure. Without defensive rules, knowledgeable traders easily feed off these losers and send them off to other hobbies.
Pattern Reading/Technical Analysis teaches traders to execute positions based on patterns, price, numbers, time, volume, etc. This discipline forces traders to distance themselves from reckless gambling behavior. Through detached execution and solid risk management, short-term trading finally "works".
Markets echo similar patterns over and over again. The science of trend allows you to build systematic rules to play/trade these repeating formations and avoid the chase.

This is from a long-term friend Larry Pesavento whom I spent many weeks with over the years between 1989 and 1996 on my visits to the USA. I used to go to Pismo Beach CA and stay with Larry at his house and we conducted some seminars together with the involvement of Mark Douglas. Larry is one of the best guys I know in this business and I took this photograph of him one day when we visited the vineyards outside of San Louis Obispo. "Who Luvs Ya Larry!"
.
A note from Larry:
During my forty years of trading I was fortunate to meet many market wizards and famous traders. My studies enabled me to amass a huge library of market related material.
In 1988 I met Bryce Gilmore and in one hour I learned more from him than most of the books on my book shelf in total.
Bryce truly made me a better trader from that first meeting and I've continued to learn from him over the years. The market technicians association should erect a statue in his honor!
Signed: Larry Pesavento
PS: Larry recently sent me a tag heuer divers watch he won in a poker championship as a gift. I'm still figuring out all the functions on it. Note with it said: You should be able to work this out buba!

Bryce Gilmore goes the extra mile. He really is one of the most giving human beings I have ever had the fortune of crossing paths with. As a student you are lucky if you find a teacher that will take a personal interest in you. Consider yourself lucky to have found this page: Bryce will guide you when you are lost, he will teach you when you are ready, he will entertain you when the market is doing nothing, he will scold you when you are lazy, he will swear at you when you are stupid. What more can you ask for in a teacher?
.
His human qualities are only surpassed by his market acumen. This is a present day Jessie Livermore, teaching his disciples how it is done, by leading the way. Every day is a new day. Yesterday doesn't matter, and tomorrow is yet to come. Bryce will teach you if you want to be taught. He will make you successful if you want to be successful. He will take you under his wings, nurture you and produce what you came for in the first place: to trade successfully.
.
Bryce has taught me so much more than about trading. He has taught me qualities that you will never find in any trading books, but qualities that you need to get where you want to be. Thank you. I am forever indebted to you, even when we don't agree.

"Why do a select few traders consistently make money while the masses lose? What do losing traders do that winning traders avoid, and what do winning traders do that is different?
.
Within 6 months of starting their career full of promise and hope most futures traders are out of money and out of trading. Bryce is a winning trader who wins consistently. His TTW book is the best trading book out there, in my opinion. It details his winning strategies that traders can learn and then apply so that they can be profitable from the beginning and avoid the common pitfalls that plague most traders".

Bryce,
.
I have been in so many popular trading chatrooms, all free trials of course, and did not make any money. My comments about popular elliott wave gurus and other trading gurus are based on my own true experience with those chat rooms. I only started to be profitable trading after I learned how to trade from Bryce and his TTW book.
.
Bryce, you are the only trader/guru that I know of who consistently makes money, day in - day out....speaks volumes of your TTW methodology.
.
And I don't need to say anything about your Trendwaves, as its power speaks for itself....and if anyone doubts it, he can try to test it himself, as I did, and see what happens. I have done it, so I now know its power first hand.

I would like to thank you Bryce for showing me the light at the end of the tunnel. Your endless posts in the TTW Room and your desire and willingness to help and teach each member of the room is incredible. Any other person knowing just fraction of what you know and most importantly anyone else who is willing to help and give as much as you do every day will charge outrageous amount of money with fake and phony promises just to steal as much money as they can from want to be traders.
.
It is not hard to go on the internet and find someone who claims his system, his books or his so called mentoring program will turn anyone into a consistent profitable trader. The interesting part of these sites is that most of them contain pages and pages of disclaimers protecting themselves from being sued. Most of this so called market gurus or mentors do not really care much about their students.
.
UNLIKE others though, you come up very straight forward without false and unrealistic promises, and UNLIKE others I don't think you charge outrageous amount of money for your products and UNLIKE others you really really care about your students and go that extra mile to make sure that each one of your TTW Room members become a consistent winner.
.
I have been a member of TTW Room for almost two years now, and I can honestly say that for anyone who is interested to become a day trader and wants to learn the art of tape reading and trading the E-Mini S&P 500 each and every day, the TTW Room is the ultimate medium to learn and experience the different types of set ups which are explained in the TTW Manual.
.
I learned a lot during this last 2 years and I know I still have a lot to learn. I learned to take each trade as a learning experience. I learned not to be greedy. I learned to take risk and put on a trade. I learned to scratch a trade and go on to prepare to take the next trade. I learned to be patient but quick to capture the opportunity.
.
The way I see it, it will probably take a good 3-4 years for someone to become a consistent profitable day trader. This process to become a consistent winner has two parts. 1st we need to have a trading system and learn to identify every signal that the system generates. We need to make the system our own. We need to live and breath the system. We need to know the different types of set-ups of this system and run them in our minds so that they will be imbedded in our sub conscious minds. This way when we encounter any one of this set-ups during real time trading hours we will be able to recognize them faster and take advantage of them. 2nd is the important and difficulty process of acquiring the right psychological mind set to trade the set-ups of our system.
.
RECOGNIZING + MINIMIZING + CONTROLLING = SUCCESSFUL TRADING
PATTERNS LOSSES EMOTIONS
.
TTW Room is the best place to be for someone interested in learning to recognize these set-ups. They will probably not sink in at the beginning but after sometime by watching them and experiencing them while they occur a trader will eventually begin to see them clearly and most importantly will start believing in them. Learning to identify the set-ups will help a trader to acquire the second part of the trading process, the all important psychological mind set.

Dear Bryce,
Until I started following your techniques and joined the TTW room I had never been able to daytrade the Emini successfully. Your TTW book and your Wavetrader2004 software have made a terrific difference. The cherry on the cake is the BBG-FM. It makes all the difference in that you know where the market wants to go. The first time I skied powder with ‘FatBoy Skis’ I said its like having a steering wheel its so easy. The BBG-FM is the same, all you have to do is listen to what it tells you and follow your methods and you are making money day after day.
I strongly recommend the TTW room because your instructive emails and the input from the other members give you a continuous reminder of how to trade successfully and also the support that is helpful. Trading is a lonely business and after a day when the market has been difficult to trade profitably it is very supportive to know others felt the same way and that it is not just you.
Your book cost money and the TTW room costs money and so does the software. THE THING IS THAT IF YOU FOLLOW BRYCE’S METHODS YOU MAKE MONEY. I have never found such value in my 20 years of trading and following different techniques and I know that with Bryce’s methods firmly in my mind I can trade and make money day after day.
Kind Regards, TONY BOND

Bryce,
Owning your TTW course, software and being a part of the TTW group has shown me what levels the Pro’s (volume) are looking at to make their decisions, this has put trading for me in a totally new perspective.
Your generosity with your time and input has shown me how to think and act like a winner, your real life tell it how it is writings, have change my thinking over time to the same logic that you apply to the markets.
The hard work applying your methods to the market and the development of a traders mind set is certainly a journey, but a trip that I am willing to take.
I am just glad that I found you.
Many thanks,
Stephen Riley

I think this sums up your teachings - many thanks !!!
"A true master is not the one with the most students,
but the one who creates the most masters."
- Anonymous
I'm a proud owner of your books and software and have appreciated being part of the former Club144 and the TTW Room.
I'd like to quote from the Epilogue of GOM1:-
"Trading commodity and stock markets for profit is akin to competing in a Formula One motor racing championship. If you have the best car, any mishaps can only be due to your own lack of control and incompetence".
"A champion driver smooths out the course by anticipating, when to accelerate, when to slow down. A novice or fool bounces from kerb to kerb until he either learns the circuit or the wheels fall off".
"Spectators who have little knowledge of the skills involved, watch on, never realizing the work and effort a champion must go to in fulfilling his ambitions".
"To be a winner we must be trained and knowledgable, we must also be flexible and evaluate future events using known experiences from the past"
.
There are only three ingredients required for success, these are :-
KNOWLEDGE - ABILITY - APPLICATION.
The message still rings true - 15 years later !!!
I thoroughly believe that the WaveTrader 2004/BBG-FM software, Trading to Win Course and being a member of the TTW Room are the best investments anyone could have if contemplating a trading career.

Over the past decade or so I have encountered and studied a myriad of various trading methodologies, systems and analysis. However brilliant some of them appeared to be, not one of them could adequately answer the paramount question of "HOW DO YOU TRADE IT??"
I can say with the greatest of conviction that I have found the answer in your daily, real-time, blow-by-blow analysis and instruction in the TTW S&P 500 Traders group.
With your help I have proven to myself that it is the SHORT-TERM patterns and strategies that are the most reliable and afford the greatest risk control. Anyone who has held a grain position over the weekend while worrying if it is going to rain or not in South America or wherever can certainly appreciate the peace of mind that comes with the closing out of a position before the end of each day.
Each and every singular daily analysis that you present stands alone as a convincing testimonial to the fact that your unrivaled trading methods are perfectly suited for the best trading vehicle ever, the S&P 500.

Bryce's energy and his continuous efforts to educate us in this business have never ceased to amaze me. I really feel very very lucky and I cannot thank Bryce enough, that is for sure.
.
My first encounter with the stock market was in 1988 and it has been 16 years since my first trade. I have tried everything that came to my mind to gain an edge in the markets. I have tested and even developed many systems utilizing pattern analysis, statistical analysis, chaos theory, neural nets, planetary motions, high level mathematics, various charting methods, synergetic approaches etc. until I came across with Bryce Gilmore's work. I was making money before I met him, but nevertheless I was not a consistent winner in the markets which makes a huge difference. Now I know that, although there is nothing new under the sun, each moment in the market is unique. And the only way to deal with it is using the methods Bryce presents.
.
Ever since I met him, we are in contact via the e-mail groups and he never stopped teaching us and helping us to become successful traders. Now that he has written this book in real-time, day by day as the market unfolds, the TTW course is not only precious with the methods taught, but also invaluable as you can see how one of the top traders in the world think and approach the market when new information arrives. As to my knowledge - believe me I know many approaches, read many books and spent a lot of money to find the right thing - this is the ultimate book that will be helpful in one’s way to become successful in this business. Even if you are a first-class trader, it is certain that you will learn a lot from it.
.
I am most grateful to Bryce for sharing his knowledge with us.

Paul Chant - Brisbane
Hi Bry.ce
Just finished reading your first draft of the new TTW Course One Day at at Time. It's as smooth as silk, honestly I can't find any mistakes or trouble spots, it flows really well , and everything is crystal clear. Showing plenty of charts is what really helps drive the messages home and is the aspect I really enjoyed about your first volume, so to with this edition. Going through a daily dairy like you have done for a couple of weeks at a time is great, it really captures the essence of day trading and adds some real life to the book, which is another aspect I enjoyed from the original as well. The chapters on entry techniques, bread and butter setups, psychology, daily and weekly preps are superb, and are worth the cost of the book alone.
You know, you said to me when we first met down the Gold coast last year , that there is nothing else around like it and I believed you, and it is still true, that's the beauty of this course, it is totally unique and all the techniques work day in day out , it really is incredible stuff and a real credit to you Bryce.
One other thing when I first found out about you and your web site, I did not know anything about you or your trading tactics other than what I read on a chat site one day, someone mentioned "Bryce Gilmore had a new book (TTW) out, does anyone know much about it", "the cost was A$700.00 " was the question, one person replied and gave you a good wrap. Anyway when I heard the cost I too thought no way am I going to pay that, so I went to your web site and read all there was, sat back and pondered over it for a couple days. Then I thought this bloke is charging A$700.00 for this book and he is an Aussie (The yanks tend to pad out and go on with waffle in their trading books), so I thought there has got to be something in this book for the money. You know it is the best trading decision of my life without a doubt. I either make it or break from here on in.
Thanks very much for everything Bryce,
Paul
One other thing Bryce please don’t dessert us in the TTW room. Thankyou for all your coaching.

Hi Bryce,
I’ve been rereading your TTW course over the weekend and I just can’t stop. It’s amazing that you are able to explain (in a clear and visual manner) all the possible ways price action can move and combine all this into a precise trading method. And you do this on daily basis with your analysis and comments. I am very lucky I came across you at this stage in my life. I am 25 years old and instead of choosing for a “corporate career “ you gave me the tools and knowledge to succeed in a trading career. You’re one of the best teachers I have had, you’re direct, honest, and flexible. Thank you!

Bryce,

I just wanted to add that I would like to thank you for putting me on the right path with regards my trading. At this stage unfortunately, I can't trade every day, but I do trade on most days, and I guess the most important lesson that I have learnt is that of tight stops.
At least when I have a losing day now, I probably only lose about 3-4 points all-up, whereas before it was a total disaster (sitm days).
So thanks mate, my account is now moving slowly in the right direction.
Best Regards,

.
Took a sick day from work today as I am "sick" of my work.
.
I didn't sell the high right at the open, I was still getting things set/loaded right then but I took the hook sell for +1 on one contract and +2 points on 4 more. Then I got +1 on one lot and +0.25 on the other 4 after the hit on the 38.2 and 1:1 at 1204.5.
.
I reloaded the second time it hit there, got another +1 on one +0.75 on the other 4. Then the break down happened and I got +1 on one and +3 on the other 4.
.
Lastly I sold the drop to a new low when it was coming off 1201.25 when it broke the mini-LIS at 1199.25 for +1 on all 5.
.
Didn't buy at all at the end of the day, I was happy with my winnings (+20 points) and I'm celebrating tonight.
.
You have truly taught me some valuable skills and I can't thank you enough.
.
Enjoy the weekend BBG, you are the best.

Bryce,
.
It is almost a year since I joined the TTW group. Before using your methods, I read book after book on trading and tried numerous different methods and found after short periods of success that nothing seemed to work successfully on a day to day basis. Then I came across your books and after reading Trading To Win I realized that your methods and way of trading made sense to me, so I got the Wavetrader software and joined the TTW group.
.
Watching you trade during the day has helped me reinforce your methods into my head, along with your ongoing teaching. I have also learned a large amount from the other members of the group who a number are experts in your methods and excellent traders. My own trading has improved hugely during the last year and I have even higher hopes for the coming years thanks to the effort you have made finding out what works and making it available to us.
.
My advise to any new or experienced traders who are looking to learn how to trade successfully would be to get the books, software and join the TTW group for a priceless education that will last a lifetime.
.

You dont know this but I learnt a very important thing from you while watching you play roulette. I watched you make money from a system that you have and I noticed that you changed tables but you were highly disciplined about keeping to your system and you won on the night. Its a lesson that I imprinted and I can see you doing it just as if it was this morning.
Having the discipline to stay with a process that works is one of the most important lessons that I learnt from you and I learnt it at Jupiters Casino on the wonderful Gold Coast of Queensland Australia.so how about that!!!!

Bryce,
Your brutally honest opinion is awesome, and greatly appreciated, no offense taken here. I might not make 20+ points a day like some other traders claim to do, but I can net a range of 40 – 50 points a month, and I am happy with those results. The TTW approach has definitely turned my trading around in a big way.
Thanks

Georgios Galeos - native of Greece who lives in Switzerland
.
To Aaron,
Thanks for your comment I will work more harder and is a good Idea to repeat daily or weekly a few chapter, but since I am in the TTW-room I make day in day out progress.
The first step was I have stopped lose money.
The second is (now) I can get day in day out a few points. Ok there were days I lost 5 or 6 points, but I know that the next 2 or 3 days I will have my money back.
Seven months ago it was not the same. They took my money and I have never see it back again.
The next step will be to trade almost every opportunity and make money.
I think, I will get there.
Bryce said "It is easy to trade but the way there is difficult"

Bambang Susilo - Perth Australia - New member
I believe whether you realize it or not you have given birth to many new trader babies.
A baby watch, listen and absorbing more until he matures enough and start doing their own thing.
While growing up the baby makes silly mistakes but always go back up & try again. ( Hopefully the baby does not make fatal mistake while learning. )
Good news ,your baby named Bambang has started to walk and he is trying to learn to run now.
These past two weeks everyday I make about three to six trades with a very good win & loss ratio. ( One day made 3 winning trades ,2 days ago 5 wins & 1 loss ). I also trade eurex market because they are more suitable with my time zone. They are very liquid markets & quite volatile. Your methodologies works perfectly well in these markets too.
My struggle now is to make my exit target. Sometime I can roughly think in advance where my target is ( like 1:1 or support /resistance levels ) but I guess my psychology makes me take profit often too soon.
If only somebody can share their exit strategies criteria, once a trade has been taken, would help me a lot.
My life dream to become a lean mean money making (or fighting ) machine, please tell us more what cooperation do you want ?.
I believe, after we find an exceptional coach, personal experience is one’s best teacher. Do you want me to send you all trades I make everyday?.
Gratitude ,
Bambang

Fabrizio from Monaco - I can't write Italian so you figure it out.
Bryce Gilmore. He reminds me Enzo Ferrari of whom a famous journalist was used to describe as,
"An arrogant, rude, cynical, vigorous, visionary, generous, demanding man who wants to be always right but very seldom is wrong"
I guess was end of 2002; in a telecom, Larry Pesavento (the great) told me: You have to read the most phenomenal book around. TTW.
Once on your web site I saw your whole literature, and indeed TTW. The book was pricy. Not even binded: what a heck I said.
So I picked up the phone and called you.
Few words from you about the book.
You did not pushed ½ inch to sell it. After all was expensive, and I expected you to.
But you didn't. I bought it straight away.
In 5 days the black beauty was in my office.
Since than never left my desk. It is really worn out now. Never read a book so many times in my life. Never been so much affected by a single text.
TTW is the compendium: you got to have any single line in your head and this means working hard on it . And is never enough.
Trading is like the army, or race sailing, or big game fishing, or motorbike racing.
Ought to respect the market hierarchy as well as we respect the sea once out there.
No mercy. Trading seems fun, sky is the limit when all is right. No "romance" at all if you are not. And it's always our own fault.
Trading, is the best metaphor of life.
Bryce Gilmore, TTW , are all the successful trading: two steps ahead with the minimal risk: clear and neat he teach all this. In the only possible manner: clear and fastidiously detailed.
It happens I'm wrong! so its because I haven't done my home works or overlooked something you already said. Conclusion: I am a dumb. So I'm better be focused next time.
Get in line, missy, and follow what in TTW.
Bryce Gilmore is no marketing stories. Is the opposite. But this attitude changes the rules of the game and makes him the best marketer in the industry. Because he and TTW are different , apart, exclusives.
Bryce Gilmore is the essence of this job: energy, discipline, knowledge, timing. No greed. No fear
No needs to be nice because the occasion requires; be what you are.
Few more lines.
At the beginning of TTW - and after too - was though to keep track of all the non direct patterns by hand whilst trading. You are there measuring what could have been spotted as a complex pattern... and the market does what is likely supposed to. And maybe you miss the millmetrical entry .
So what can I do, I said?
Humbly got to square one as a 5 years old schoolboy: In order to better recognize the patterns I started to design them by hand, times and times and times again.
That was ages ago.....
Because then a young "genious" trader- Yigit - came out in help with what I believe being one of the smartest, complete yet complex script around. The WaveTrader 2004.
Now the WaveTrader II +BBG-FM are simply deadly weapons.
But if you are not a TTW connoisseur you will never understand the whole picture .
After 3 years, If one of my trade does not go properly there are just only 3 answers:
1. Concentration: I overlooked something in TTW.
2. Myself: I was little sloppy or excessively confident
3. Odds: was part of those 2.8 negative trades out of 10.
Thank you Bryce for your vision, honesty and what you thought of me.
I received much more than what I've given.
